The word of God proclaims that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. As you listen to the word, you will learn the importance of being loyal and committed. Loyalty and commitment are good qualities that we should have as Christians. It involves sacrifice. A loyal heart has nothing to do with how you feel. We must exercise loyalty and commitment to God, our pastors, our marriages, our jobs and relationships with others. There are people that will follow the Lord, but not with a committed heart. When Jesus said, Take up your cross, He was speaking of loyalty and commitment.
